DAY 01 ARRIVAL / KUCHING
Meet and greet at kuching international airport and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, proceed for a city tour. This is a comprehensive tour where you can see all the places of attraction around this historical city. The tour begins with a drive to see the gigantic cat status ( mascot of the city ) at padungan before cruising through china town and a stop at the tua pek kong temple (1876) - the oldest in sarawak. From the temple, you can get a good view of the imposing fort margherita (1879), which now serves as a police museum.proceed to the modern civic center building one can get an excellent panoramic view of the city from its tower block. The route passes through the superbly-designed st. Joseph cathedral, the syariah muslim court, the satok suspension bridge (1926) and traditional malay houses built on stilts. Make a stop at the magnificent-looking mosque built along the riverbank.winding through the heart of the city, look out for the majestic looking astana (1870) - former palace of the white rajah but now the official residence of the governor of sarawak, and the old colonial law court house - complete with a clock tower and a granite obelisk built in memory of rajah charles brooke. The highlight of the tour will be a visit to the sarawak museum, which is acknowledged as one of the finest in the world. It is a treasure house of artifacts and exhibits, which possess great archaeological and cultural significance. Overnight.

DAY 02 BAKO NATIONAL PARK (Breakfast)
Morning, depart kuching for a 45 minutes drive which passes through mangrove forest with its unique nipah palms before arriving at the bako fishing village. Continue by a motorized boat for a 30 minutes cruise along the coast facing the south china sea to reach bako national park. After visiting the park’s information and exhibition center, proceed to the park’s western end by trekking through mangrove forest to observe the mud skippers and blue-fiddler crabs, paku trail to look-out for proboscis monkey, climb to the plateau which is home to various botanical delights and several species of the carnivorous pitcher plants. Notice the changes of the vegetation (mangrove, rainforest, kerangan and padang forest). After lunch, proceed by trekking through the forest which boasts monstrous rainforest trees, indulge in bird watching and observe other wildlife. Journey back to the jetty, then by boat to bako village and return by car to kuching.

DAY 03 KUCHING / BATANG AI (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
After breakfast you will travel 290 km by car, with a few stops along the way: the first at semonggoh orang utan for feeding time at 1000 hours. Then to serian town, where we will stop for refreshment. You may wish to make some last minute shopping, for insect repellent or gifts for the ibans at serian. You can also visit a fascinating native fruit and vegetable market. The other stops include a visit to the pepper farm and a stop where you can observe plenty of wild orchids and also pitcher plants, insect eating plants. The last stop will be at “lachau” a small up country chinese village for lunch. Here you can still observe barter trading being held between the natives of kalimantan, the chinese shop owners and the natives of sarawak. After lunch we proceed to the final stage of the journey, and arrive at beautiful batang ai lake. At the jetty, you will take a boat/ferry across the lake to reach the resort and check in. Overnight.

DAY 04 BATANG AI LONGHOUSE (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Morning, depart from batang ai longhouse resort by motorized longboat for about one hour crossing the batang ai reservoir to reach the longhouse. The journey passing through scenic view, rice field, fish farms, going through the rapids, paddling and poling in clear water before arriving at the longhouse. A warm welcome by the natives and witness the culture performance. Tour the longhouse, watch the natives at work such as making mats, baskets, handicrafts, mending fishing nets, swim in the river or just relaxing by the river bank. After the picnic-lunch, return via the same route to the resort. Free time at own arrangement. Overnight.

DAY 05 BATANG AI / ONWARDS (Breakfast/Lunch)
After breakfast, return to the jetty, then by car to kuching directly to the airport your next destination.

Accommodation, meals, private tours & transfers and entrance fees (please refer itinerary for inclusion of meals).
International and domestic air ticket, early check in & late check out, personal expenses during tour & at hotel / resort during stay and tipping.
